ABOUT ME.

Hi, I’m Mike - a Leeds-based freelance photographer and long-time visual addict. Movies, art, music, design… if it looks good, sounds good, or makes me go “ooh”, I’m into it. After more than thirty years working in graphic design and advertising (yes, I’ve survived many a meeting discussing shades of beige), I’ve directed shoots for some pretty big names - so finding the right shot is second nature by now.

I picked up my first camera while at school and basically never put it down. I’ve always believed a great photo can say more than a paragraph ever could - plus, it doesn’t require me to spell anything correctly. I still feel lucky that taking pictures is my job, even if it does mean I’ve become that person who always has a camera on them… Always. You’ve been warned!

Whether it’s a wedding, civil ceremony, business shoot, public event or editorial piece, I’m forever hunting for those little moments that tell a story - the real, unposed, “yep, that’s the one” kind of shots.
